Smex Ed w/Amanda: The new face of Smex Ed Magazine

Hello friends. It’s been a long time since we have published a new issue/article of Smex Ed Magazine, I think June was our last article. As the publisher of the magazine, I felt I owed it to our readers to let you know what was going on.
Smex Ed Magazine has always been a free publication. The writers of the magazine never received payment for their articles, they wrote them out of the kindness of their hearts, the need to educate the masses, wanting to share personal experiences with others, and above all the desire to help.
The magazine has always been a massive undertaking. Each issue required finding writers, reviewing pitches, editing articles, creating graphics, marketing, etc. But we loved doing it because of our readers. Your reactions, your love, you sharing the magazine with your friends, all of this contributed to driving the magazine forward each month. We kept on going because of YOU.
However, life for the writers and I became increasingly busy and putting out 8-10 articles per monthly issue was starting to become too much for me, the editor, to handle. Now, I am not trying to make excuses, but just stating that I am human and shit fell behind. I needed a break, the writers needed a break, so we decided to pause the magazine for the foreseeable future.
Recently, I have been playing with the idea of relaunching the magazine. Honestly, I miss writing for it. I believe the magazine was ridiculously empowering to it’s readers and provided education that you could read from the safety of your home and I want to be able to give that back to you, our readers.
So, this is our game plan going forward. I am shifting the magazine publication a bit: rather than monthly issues, we will be releasing weekly/biweekly sex education articles. I know it isn’t the 8-10 articles per month you were used to, but 2-4 articles a month is what I can promise and follow through with, so we are going to do just that.
Think of the magazine moving towards more of a “blog” style with its new articles. Each article will be written by yours truly, and if the previous writers of the magazine want to write a monthly guest article, we will welcome them with OPEN ARMS.
The goal of Smex Ed Magazine, is the same goal we had since we published our very first article in March of 2023
” Our goal at Smex Ed Magazine is to bring educational, fun, creative, and mind expanding articles about sex, kinks, fetishes, and all thing considered “taboo” that really shouldn’t be. To bring these conversations about that are happening behind closed doors; to the forefront of the stage.
Welcome to Smex Ed Magazine, March 2023 Issue
Yes, sex is a large portion of SMEX ED Magazine, however, we will be addressing a variety of topics that encompass all things: relationships, communication, self confidence. Because sex is so much more than just two people getting naked and fucking. Sex is about intimacy, connection, pleasure and feeling safe with your partner.
The reason SMEX ED is so important is because people shouldn’t feel ashamed of pleasure, be living in fear of their bodies, and constantly questioning whether or not what they are experiencing is “normal.”
Many people are being forced to have these conversations in secret all because society can’t handle a little bit of kinkiness with their morning coffee. The lack of education around sex, the fact that society deems it “taboo” is causing millions of people to feel isolated in their sexual desires. SMEX ED wants to normalize these topics so that our readers feel safer and less alone.
Imagine what it would be like to feel safe in your body? To allow it to feel every ounce of pleasure that it was built to experience? To be able to communicate to your partner what you want and desire, not just on a sexual level, but on a soul level? This is what we are hoping to bring you with SMEX ED Magazine.”
Our goal has not changed, just our format.
I hope you decide to become reinvested into our magazine. I know I let you down by letting the magazine slide, but I hope to regain your trust as we move forward with our new venture.
So, grab your notebooks, your pens, and sit down
Class is now back in session…
