Since we explored the world of clitoral stimulators last month, I wanted to bring you a different style of toy for our April issue, and since April is synonymous with springtime and Easter, we are going to discuss a Rabbit Vibrator. 

The Rabbit Vibrator became popularized after Sex and the City televised it’s episode showcasing Charlotte’s addiction to the rabbit vibrator and the blended orgasms it gave her. For those of you who might not be familiar with the terminology, a blended orgasm is when two or more of your erogenous zones (the areas on your body that can cause an orgasm) are stimulated at the exact same time, causing a massive orgasm. The idea behind the rabbit style vibrators is that they are meant to stimulate the clitoris and the G-spot at the exact same time.  

When rabbit vibrators first made the market, they typically were all the same. Enter: The Thrust. 

When Bellesa sent me The Thrust as a gift, I’m not going to lie, I was mildly intimidated by it. I have always been a clitorial stimulator toy girl, the We-Vibe Melt being my ultimate favorite toy on the market when it came to clitoral suction toys, and the idea of testing out a rabbit vibrator made me a bit nervous. 

I own a rabbit vibrator, I purchased it off of Adam & Eve’s website a few years ago, and it has sat in my closet ever since. I thought it would be fun, trying something new, but the two times I tried it, I wasn’t a fan. It felt bulky, plasticky, and honestly just a bit too much for me to handle. Therefore, it’s sat in my closet for years, collecting dust. 

When I opened The Thrust’s package, I was surprised by how the toy actually felt. The material they used is super soft and lifelike, not plasticky at all like the toy I already owned. The toy (pictured below) comes with a 5 inch shaft and a clitoral vibrator (which is quite large), beads inside the shaft that twist, turn, and vibrate, and looked like your typical rabbit vibrator…..until I turned it on. 

As you can see from the video, this toy is anything but the regular rabbit toy. The shaft actually thrusts (hence the name) and has 5 different thrusting settings for you to play with. Basically a fast, medium, slow thrust as well as a thrust and pause option. I wish I would have caught my facial expression on camera when I first turned the toy on because it was fucking priceless. The clitoral stimulator also comes with 5 different speed settings to maximize your pleasure. 

THE TEST

To say that I was excited to test out this toy, was the understatement of the year. I was giddy as fuck the day I knew I was going to test it out. All I kept thinking was “this toy is going to make me go insane.” 

Since the Thrust is a penetration toy, I wanted to “warm things up” before using it. I grabbed my We Vibe Melt, some lube, and crawled onto my bedroom floor to go on my test drive. I used the We Vibe Melt for a few minutes to help myself pop off beforehand, lubricated the toy, and began to use it. 

Penetration wise, the toy slid in easily. I decided not to turn it on until it was inside of me to be able to test how easily I could access the buttons on the bottom of the toy. Once the toy was inserted, I turned it on. 

The toy felt good, it was a different feeling than I was expecting, but it was still good. I could feel the toy thrusting inside of me and started playing with the different buttons to see which setting I preferred the most. Once I found the setting that was hitting the spot just right, I tried to relax my body and enjoy the ride. 

But, yes…there is a but here, the clitorial stimulator wasn’t really doing anything for me. It’s supposed to be a dual stimulation toy and yet the clit stimulator wasn’t hitting my clit AT ALL when the toy was fully inserted. 

For background info, my clit is tucked away inside of my lips. For women whose clit is more exposed, the clit stimulator might work fantastically for you, but for me, it was hitting my lips rather than my clit. I even tried parting my lips to line it up with my clit better, but it still didn’t hit me where it needed to or with the intensity I needed. 

I kept trying to shift my hips, move the toy around a bit, kept parting my lips, and yet…nothing. Honestly, I was starting to get a bit frustrated at this point and was losing the oh so good feeling that the toy originally was giving me. I wanted to feel BOTH areas being stimulated, which the toy said it could do, but honestly, it just wasn’t hitting my clit the way I needed it to

MY INVENTION

Now, I am laying on the ground, the Thrust inserted in me, and frankly getting annoyed that the clit stimulator wasn’t doing it for me. I wanted more. 

I looked over to my side, where my We Vibe Melt had been laying after I finished with it earlier, and thought to myself “hmmmm…I wonder how that would feel?” The We Vibe Melt is the best clit suction toy on the market. It can actually stay on your clit without the use of your hands, that is how powerful it is. I wanted to see how the combination of the suction would pair with the thrusting of the Thrust. 

The place side of the Thrust clit stimulator, is that it’s super soft and flexible, I was able to move it aside extremely easily to attach my We Vibe Melt onto my clit. It didn’t get in the way, it didn’t push against it or shift it, it was awesome, so I will give Bellesa an A+ as far as that goes. 

The second I turned on the We-Vibe Melt, holy mother of God, the feeling was incredible. The thrusting motion of the Thrust was hitting me right in the spot I needed it to, while the suction of the We Vibe was sucking hard and fast against my clit. Within MINUTES my body went into a full spasm from the pleasure and I proceeded to have the most intense visceral blended orgasm I have ever had in my entire life. 

Ladies, I legit almost passed out over the pleasure, it felt that good. I screamed so loud that my throat felt raw afterwards. My body bucked, I came, and I sat on the floor laughing in complete surprise for about 5-7 minutes afterwards. The euphoric effect of the orgasm lasted hours  afterwards. I felt buzzed, relaxed, almost lightheaded the right of the evening. I’ve never had an orgasm have a lingering effect the way this one did, it was incredible. 

BUT IT IS WORTH IT?

Stating that, this review isn’t based on the combination of the We Vibe Melt & Thrust (although every woman on the planet should try it sometime) it’s on the Thrust alone because the toy does retail for $200. 

So, is it worth it? Yes and no. Here is why:

1. NO: The lack of clit stimulation for women whose clits are more “hidden” makes it hard for the blended orgasm to occur. 

I have had a few women message me since talking about The Thrust on my Snapchat Stories (follow me @theamandaking) who seemed to have the exact same problem I did. Some women said they had to move the clit stimulator to the side and use their hands, some used other toys as well, some said they shut it off, so it seems to be a common problem with the toy. If you are a woman who adores clit stimulation like me, you are going to want something with a much more intense clit stimulator to give you the sensations you need. 

2. YES: The thrusting action of this toy is freaking incredible. 

Honestly, for someone who doesn’t use rabbit vibrators, I will 100% use this toy again for the thrusting action. Although I felt the toy was a bit bulky, the texture of the material was soft, delicate, and felt nice inside of me. The variety of thrusting options on this toy were AMAZING. No matter what your thrusting preference is, the toy can match it well.  The buttons are easy to access when the toy is inside of you so you can shift from one thrust to the other seamlessly. 

3. YES: If you are a fan of rabbit vibrators

If you are a woman who adores the dual stimulation of a rabbit vibrator, this is your toy. The technology behind the toy is state of the art. The options with the toy are incredible. The thrusting motions paired with the beads that vibrate, twist, and turn are unmatched. If you have always used rabbit vibrators and are sick and tired of the ones that only vibrate, immediately go buy this toy. Like right now. 

All and all, for this woman, it’s a bit of a mixed review on the toy. If I would have spent the $200, I would have been disappointed in the clit stimulator portion of the toy and would have felt it wasn’t worth my money. However, now that I have the toy, and I have my We Vibe Melt, I will absolutely be adding the combination toy to my self pleasure sessions when I need a good earth shattering, forget who I am for 10 minutes, feel drunk for a few hours afterwards, type of orgasm. 

The thing is, ladies, every woman is different, so every toy isn’t going to work for every woman. A toy that makes my toes curl, might not have the same effect on you. When researching a toy, find one that is exactly what makes you tick, cum, cream, climax. Read reviews, yes, but also recognize that your body is different from the woman reviewing so you might not get the same results as her, and that is okay.
