Clitoral Stimulators: The Best Beginners Vibrators

Masturbation is a taboo topic when it comes to women and it really shouldn’t be. One of my goals of this magazine is to normalize it because it is fucking normal. The female body is capable of so many incredible things: climaxing, cumming, creaming. It was built to feel as much pleasure as possible and ladies, you deserve to feel every ounce of that pleasure.

The message I receive the most from women is “I am starting to explore my body, I was wondering if you had a recommendation for a toy for beginners” and with this being the first issue of Smex Ed magazine, I wanted to make sure we addressed this question with an article.

There are literally thousands of toys out there made for women’s pleasure, so many in fact, that it can be a daunting task to try and find that perfect toy for you, especially as a beginner. There are rabbit vibrators, g-spot vibrators, clitorial suction, clitoral stimulators, bullets, wands, a Willy Wonka size treasure waiting to be explored by your body. So let’s discuss my bold claim that clitorial stimulators are the best beginner vibrators.

Orgasm Statistics: Vaginal vs Clitoral

Being brought up in a patriarchal society that focuses on penetration being the main source of pleasure for women, a lot of women are confused by the fact that they can’t achieve orgasms through vaginal penetration alone. This makes a lot of women feel “broken” or that “something is wrong with me” because they are unable to achieve orgasms via sex.

The truth is, you aren’t broken and there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. In fact, if you can’t orgasm via penetration you are part of a massive population of women who can’t. You are not the minority, you are the majority.

According to a study conducted by the Journal of Sex & Marital Therapy conducted in 2015, only 18.4% of women can achieve an orgasm during vaginal sex, meaning that 81.6% can not orgasm from vaginal sex alone

This means in the world of sex toys, if your vibrator doesn’t have a clitorial stimulator, it might not do the trick for you.

Let’s Chat About The Clit

The clit is an incredible piece of female anatomy, made up of 10,000 nerve endings compared to the male counterpart (head of the penis) with only 4,000. The clit is composed of the same materials as the penis, and during arousal even gets hard. It has the ability to give you multiple orgasms, make you cum or cream, and is made specifically for pleasure.

Clit stimulation refers to any type of friction that you use in order to “awaken” her powers and help in the arousal process. This can be as simple as using your fingers to slowly run circles around her, your partner’s tongue tracing over it, their hot breath against it, grinding against the arm of a couch, or your partner’s lap, all are examples of clit stimulation that don’t involve toys.

However, using clit stimulators can help heighten the sensation, the pleasure, the fun. As someone who is new to masturbation or self exploration, a clit stimulator is the perfect toy to begin with.

Why A Clit Stimulator vs Penetration Toy?

There are a few reasons why I always recommend a clit stimulator with my followers who are beginning the self exploration process over a toy that offers penetration.

  1. Like I stated above, not every woman can have an orgasm with penetration. The last thing I want is for someone to start the self exploration process, buy a penetration vibrator, not be able to have an orgasm, get frustrated, and give up or think something is wrong with them. Unlike vaginal orgasms, a majority of women can have orgasms from clitoral stimulation. How many? I am unsure. I have yet to find the exact statistics on clitorial stimulation vs vaginal orgasms, but there is a massive difference.
  1. The idea of self exploration for the first time can be daunting enough and sometimes adding a penetration vibrator to the mix can scare some women off. They struggle getting aroused enough during sex and asking them to be able to be comfortable enough to stick a penetration toy inside of them during their first time, can be a bit too much. Having a toy that can add pleasure without penetration can make beginners feel more comfortable, relax, and enjoy themselves.

Lets Talk Toys

Here comes the fun part. Let’s chat about some toy recommendations for clit stimulators and the difference between them and what they can do for your body. I have personally tested these toys and think they are some of the best toys available for clit stimulators.

Satisfyer Pro 2: Amazon

I would say this is the best beginners clit stimulator toy that I have tried to date and there are a few reasons for it.

  1. The Price: coming in at only $39, the Satisfyer Pro 2 is well worth the price.
  2. The Action: the air pulse technology hits in all of the right places. Although personally, I feel the suction aspect is lacking a bit, I won’t lie, it feels really good against the clit. The toy had my toes curling quickly and was easy to use during the exploration process. Basically it has an up and down button that you can use to decrease and increase the intensity.

Now the reason I believe this is the best clitoral stimulator is because it’s intense without being TOO intense. For your first time of self exploration, it’s about getting to know your body and getting more comfortable with it and its capabilities. The Satisfyer Pro 2 can help with just that.

The Pebble by Bellesa: $89

This toy is a level up from the Satisfyer Pro 2. I was given this toy by Bellesa as part of a partnership giveaway I ran with them in February and this toy did NOT disappoint. With both clitoral suction AND vibration capabilities, it has 5 different settings for BOTH. Meaning you can alternate between suction and vibration or have them both on at the same time.

The toy is waterproof which means you can use it in the shower if that is the only alone time you get. It’s easy to use during your self pleasure session, you aren’t fumbling with the buttons as much and the small compact design makes it easy to keep in your hand during the process.

Also, the carrying case is amazing. It’s small and discreet so you can charge it on your night stand without the whole family knowing what is. It looks like a large retainer holder and the USB port comes out of the bottom.  It is a bit more expensive than the Satisfyer Pro 2 but the dual benefits of suction and vibration make it worth the extra cost. Plus, it’s much smaller and less clunky than the Satisfyer Pro 2.

We Vibe Melt :$150

Before you die of shock over the price, let me explain myself. This is my favorite toy and surpasses any toy I have ever experienced to this day. I discovered the We Vibe Melt by doing my own research trying to find a toy that my partner and I could use together when I was taking trips for work and to visit family. I wanted a toy that he could help me use, to be a part of the process, to feel more connected to me when I was away.

The We-Vibe Melt is a clitoral suction toy that works better than any clit suction toy I’ve experienced. Think of it almost like a Dyson Vacuum, the toy will literally stay suctioned onto your clit, unlike the other toys, freeing your hands up to control the toy, use the app to control it, or explore your body in other ways.

The app, you and your partner can both download. When you want your partner to choose the setting and play with you, you can give them control of the toy via the app. It has about 15 different settings, it’s waterproof, and has a battery life of 2 hours. But trust me, it will take less than 4 minutes to be experiencing the most intense orgasm you have ever experienced.

This toy made me scream so loud, I threw out my voice. Yes, it is that freaking good. I swear I thought I died at one point because the pleasure was so intense. Yes, it comes with a hefty price tag, but when it comes down to experiencing the most pleasure possible, this toy will give you that.

Clitorial Stimulators are the perfect toy for beginners when it comes to self exploration. Remember, everyone’s preferences are different, so if you get one of my recommendations and it doesn’t work for you, that’s ok! This is why you should try multiple toys until you find the one that works with your body the best. This is a trial and error process, so don’t be afraid to expand past my recommendations and find some of your favorites!

  2. Ong I love everything I have seen and read. I am 48 years old. I’m learning so much about my body. I only started self pleasuring myself about 5 years ago. I started with a dildo. Then I got the adventurer and omg I never had such a strong ass orgasm. I was so shocked. I got the rose last year.
I’m having a hard time reaching full climax with my man. He’s ok with toys now so I’m hoping that we can incorporate the toy.
Hes having issues himself,ED I believe so we are willing to try different things as he wants me to get off. I feel horrible when he can’t stay hard or cum.
Thank you for all your helpful information
