Every day Smex Ed Magazine receives messages from vulva owners looking for help to “become tighter” in the vaginal canals after child birth or due to age. There is a massive misconception that when you have a child via the vaginal canal, that your vaginal canal “is never the same”, “stretched out”, “not as tight as it used to be”, etc. However, this isn’t the case. Your vaginal canal is a muscle, meaning it can expand AND restrict just like a normal muscle can. This means, yes it can stretch out wide enough to push a 7-10lb child through, but afterwards, it restricts right back to it’s original shape.

Before you hit me with one of the above statements, let’s address a few things. Your vaginal canal is the exact same size it has always been, what you are actually experiencing with the above statements is a weakened pelvic floor, THAT is causing your issues not your vaginal canal. *side note to the peeing comment. Pee is released through the urethra not the vaginal canal. The urethra is a completely separate hole.

Your pelvic muscles are just like any other muscle, they start to weaken over time and the less you use them the weaker they get. It is important to engage your perineal muscles as your body goes through change, whether it be aging, pregnancy, healing from birth or trauma to the body and even stress.

In order to combat this natural weakening, you should start practicing kegel exercises. Kegel exercises are for strengthening and training your perineal pelvic muscles. This is helpful when you are trying to tighten your pelvic floor muscles for simulation purposes or for during pregnancy or after childbirth.  Kegel exercise can be a daily part of someone’s routine and make a huge difference when moving your body with them for even just a few minutes each day.

Why We Are Excited About this Toy

There are a lot of kegel exercise toys out there in the world, but this one caught our eye due to the moving ball that is inside of the toy, which makes this toy almost a ben wa ball/kegel exercise toy combo. Ben Wa Balls are weighted balls that you put inside of your vaginal canal and practice holding them up inside of you (by clenching your pelvic floor.)

They can often be difficult to use because if your pelvic floor is weaker, they will slip right out of you. Also, they can be a little scary because they are a bit difficult to retrieve and some vulva owners might be intimidated by the idea of balls just hanging out in their vaginal canal with no fast way of pulling them out.

The Menina gives you the sensation of a Ben Wa Ball with the “rip cord” string of a kegel exercise toy, meaning you don’t have to go fishing for the toy to remove it.

We also love the design of the toy. The taped top makes it easy for insertion, the soft silicone feels nice against your body, and the cord is easily accessible when you are wearing it so when you are finished exercising, you can pull the toy out (SLOWLY) and effortlessly.

Another aspect of this toy that we can not get enough of IT COMES WITH A REMOTE! Y’all know what a massive fan I am of toys with remotes and we are seeing more and more of them appear and I could not be happier. The remote allows you to change the setting of the toy while it is inside of you easily. No bending over like a Cirque de Soleil cast member in order to change the settings on your toy. One easy click of your remote and BOOM done for you.

Another cool aspect of this toy, it can be used for both strengthen your pelvic floor and spicy time with yourself or partner. Need to spice up your afternoon alone when working? Pop this toy inside of you and turn it on as you practice clenching and releasing the toy. Skip the second cup of coffee and try this little gem.

Toy 2: The Mozao Fingering Prostate Massager

I was sitting at the bar at my local bowling alley when Too Timid sent their email about new toys that are available and the second I saw The Mozao, I knew I had to get my hands on it for this article.

The Mazo is a prostate stimulation toy that helps penis owners achieve a prostate orgasm. Don’t know much about the prostate? I am here to help!

The Prostate Cancer Foundation defines the prostate as “The prostate (not prostrate) is a small, rubbery gland about the size of a ping-pong ball, located deep inside the groin, between the base of the penis and the rectum. Why We Are Excited About this Toy

I JUMPED at the opportunity to get this toy in my hands. I’ve showcased a ton of Prostate Toys on my platform from Too Timid, but honestly, this one excited me the most and when I received the toy and was able to see it in person I was even more thrilled with it. Here is why:

The size of the toy. It’s a lot tinier than the other prostate stimulation toys that I have showcased from Too Timid. Why is that a good thing? Well because it makes it PERFECT for beginners who are looking to explore with prostate play. The other prostate toys were definitely much larger and built for people who have a good amount of experience with prostate toys and can be very daunting to look at for someone who has never dabbled in this type of sexual play.

The Mozao fits in the palm of your hand, so the size is manageable for someone who wants to use it as their first time toy. The design of the toy makes it easy for insertion, just remember to use a water based lubricant when using the toy and to start slowly. This means, your first session, you might not be able to fully insert the toy inside of you. Take your time with it, don’t force it in. Try one inch at a time.

The stimulation of the toy. Every prostate toy I have seen typically has two types of stimulation: rotation and vibration. This toy has a nodule that shifts up and down inside of the toy (see video below) which is unlike anything I’ve seen in a prostate toy. The reason this is great is because when the toy is inserted into your anus, that “nub” will rub itself up and down your prostate rather than just vibrating it like normal toys do. You can also adjust the speed and pattern of the nub offering you a variety of sensations for you to experiment with. The toy also has a ribbed ledge that will lay against your balls that vibrates as well.

Remote control, baby. We’ve stated it above, but we are going to talk about it again, remote controls for toys are the SHIT! I’ve showcased a lot of rabbit vibes on this platform, but this one caught my eye specifically because of another toy I have reviewed in the magazine in the past.

Why We Are Excited About This Toy

The first thing that caught my eye about this toy is how much it resembles Bellesa’s Thrust Toy. If you didn’t know, I reviewed this $200 rabbit vibes in one of our earlier issue’s of Smex Ed Magazine.

When I unboxed this toy, I couldn’t be happier with what I saw/felt. The texture of the toy is a super soft silicone, just like The Thrust. It feels gentle and lifelike against skin, which is really wonderful considered a lot of rabbit vibes have a had plastic “shell” on them which make them feel a bit less lifelike than I would like.

The next aspect that excited me was the thrusting capability and patterns of this toy. The settings provide a lot of options for the user to choose from, anywhere from light gentle thrusts to full on fast and hard thrusts. As well as, the clit stimulator on this toy has its own adjustable settings for the user to explore and feel much more intense than the thrust counterpart. Also with the clit stimulator on the thrust, it didn’t really hit my clit. The design of it laid more on my lips than making contact with my clit, but with the way the Coelho is designed, it seems like the clit stimulator will definitely make contact with the clit and provide it some nice stimulation.

The third aspect of this toy that excited me was the price! This toy is almost exactly the same as Bellesa’s Thrust (honestly probably better, haven’t had the opportunity to test it out yet) and right now over $100 less! This is the perfect option for someone who wants to explore The Thrust without breaking the damn bank in order to do it. As far as “dupes” go, this is the closest one I have seen and felt.
